DASHBOARD

01
Brief
The project consisted of creating a control dashboard for Home Movies operators, where they could upload digital files and film sequences, as well as add or remove funds, people, and media associated with the digital files themselves.
02
Client
The Home Movies Foundation is responsible for cataloguing sequences and digital files of amateur films, as well as maintaining relationships with the funds and producers of those films.
03
Team
I handled the entire UX usability and the full UI, from individual components and their functionality on the site to branding aspects. Two developers contributed to the creation of the project.
HOMEMOVIES
Challenge
The main challenge was tied to two aspects: the first was visual, which I addressed through a minimalist and "brutalist" aesthetic with essential colors and a simple layout; the second was experiential, related to how users interact with and access the documents.
HOMEMOVIES
The aim of the project
The system was not designed for experts, so the overall usability of the dashboard took into account users who do not necessarily have advanced technical skills. In particular, for uploading certain digital files, a step-by-step flow was implemented to ensure that operators do not overlook any required information.
HOMEMOVIES
Approach and solution
Using the MUI design system, I approached this project with the goal of making the UX as simple and intuitive as possible, incorporating guided steps and alerts for incomplete digital files or other entities.
HOMEMOVIES
Final outcome
The final product is a dashboard where operators have full control over the files they upload, with the ability to link them to new or existing entities. A video timestamp system was also implemented, allowing notes to be added to specific scenes within the digital files.

Challenge
The challenge lay in creating a system that centralized everything, allowing users to manage multiple files, people, funds, donors, and other entities simultaneously.
